Art 4 All
Inspired by a Zoom art class I created for friends with kids at the beginning of the pandemic, this app aims to make art and design appreciation accessible to a broad audience by teaching basic color theory and design principles through play and exploration. The app will be easy to use so that kids age 6-12 may engage without much adult supervision. There will also be accessibility options like automatic voice over and visual descriptions.
Left Coast Libations — Book Design
The book producers wanted a modern speakeasy feel to their cocktail book that features bartenders from up and down the west coast. I choose a long format book so that it would stay open easily while following the recipes.
[L]able Show Catalog — Book Design
This catalog was designed and produced for my graduate show.
The clothing artwork featured was also created by me. I reproduced all the labels sewn into the garments during manufacturing and attached them by sewing or pinning to the outside of the clothes to bring the inside out. The show space was designed to look like a small boutique and included the red coat shown below that I encouraged visitors to try on to feel the weight of the labor.
Drama in the Desert — Book Design
In the spirit of Burning Man, a group of us got together and made a thing. Drama in the Desert is the book we wanted to create for people who hadn’t been to the event so that they might understand why we went back every year… THE ART! This was in 2002 and it was the third major book on the subject. Now there are many. I did all of the book design and production and even flew to Singapore for the press check.

Design for FIDM
During my time at FIDM I often created graphics and flyers when we needed them in a pinch.
TEXTILE DESIGN
Creating graphics for clothing is one of my favorite ways to produce images. This is a sample of the designs I created while working for ESPRIT.
